Raising a Barn Unveiling
Barn Unveiling
The ClearWater Barn Unveiling that took place on September 10, 2022, was a momentous occasion to celebrate the renewal of a historic barn destroyed by fire made possible by the generous funding by stakeholders, the community, and the Government of Canada. This event marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from the team, volunteers, artists, stakeholders and community at ClearWater Farm, who have been tirelessly working to rebuild the historic barn into a community hub that brings together the arts and the environment.
A special feature of the rebuilt barn is the accessible walkway that features art installations telling the story of Georgina as told by history writer Mary Byers on plaques in three languages (English, French, and Ojibwe), a weather vane by artist Ron Baird, a 16 foot turtle floor mosaic by Chippewa artist Lauri Hoeg.
The newly unveiled ClearWater Barn is a stunning example of sustainable architecture, featuring an impressive array of eco-friendly features. Many thanks to all of the community volunteers and those who were a part of Raising a Barn. ClearWater Farm is poised to become a beacon of sustainability and community engagement for years to come.

ClearWater Barn is now ready for community programming, educational trips, and events!
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Department of Canadian Heritage.
