WILLOW BEACH, ON, March 20th, 2025 – The ClearWater Futures Foundation (“OWC”)—a not-for-profit hub for ecological innovation, future leaders’ development, educational research and nature-based exploration—is proud to announce its rebrand to The ClearWater Futures Foundation to coincide with World Water Day on March 22. The rebrand reflects the Canadian charity’s growing global reach and leadership, and continued focus on its mission to engage people in water-wise ways with the land through arts, science and technology.

Since its inception in 2006, OWC has been a beacon of innovation and community engagement in its local community on Lake Simcoe. Inspired by the Ladies of the Lake Conservation Association, the organization has evolved significantly. From achieving charitable status in 2012 and transforming the 180-year-old Reed Farm into ClearWater Farm—a living lab on the lake in 2016—to creating Future Chicken, an animated multi-platform series of nature and climate action content for kids.

Founder and Board Chair, Annabel Slaight, says: “With the climate-related challenges we’re facing as a global community, it is the right time to rebrand to The ClearWater Futures Foundation to support the broader strategic vision of a world where people live in harmony with nature, anchored in the power of water to connect all aspects of life.”

“Rebranding as The ClearWater Futures Foundation marks an exciting chapter for us with a new three-year strategic plan, website, logo and bi-monthly newsletter for stakeholders to stay up to date with exciting initiatives and ways to give,” says CEO, Susan Doyle.

The public is invited to a special World Water Day event at its flagship property ClearWater Farm on March 22nd featuring speakers, educational sessions and family activities. Click here for more details on this free event.
