Unique Barnyard Play Space for Families – Under Construction!
If you’re a parent, you know how tough it is to get your kids outside. We drive our kids to school, pick them up and drive them to extra-curriculars. We have small yards and even smaller pockets of time with our littles to just BE with them, let alone being with them in nature. We know it’s what they need – heck it’s what we ALL need; fresh air, connection to the land, the water the earth.
Soon ClearWater Farm will be offering a space for families to do just that. It’s going to be a place – inspired by nature – for kids to be free and lead, play and learn, with their families outdoors.
The ClearWater Farm Barnyard is now in the first stages of construction to become an unstructured natural playspace. The interactive space will include an outdoor “living room” with a living garden wall to water and tend, a community well, and an unstructured, wild space to explore. This exciting project, laid out around the new barn, is partially funded through a capital grant from Ontario Trillium Foundation with the space already being cleared and cleaned up by Georgina’s Stiemer Construction.
Take a look at the before and after pictures – the ones we have so far – they show our exciting first steps. We look forward to sharing with you more photos as we progress on this exciting project. In the meantime, if you’re looking for some fun bonding time with your kids outside, check out our existing nature programs for families on this website HERE.
